ABOUT ME

My name is Carolina Beltran, I’m from Colombia and I have always been fascinated with how the brain works.

This is me now.

When I was 11 years old I saw one of my mom’s books and I remember the cover of that book had a brain with strange wheels within. It immediately caught my attention, that night I went to bed thinking how does the brain come up with ideas?  Remember, I was just 11 years old and this question stayed in my mind for a very long period of time. I was obsessed!!

My bachelor degree was in International Business, but for some reason, all the jobs that I got were in marketing and I fell in love with this field.

Do you see the connection here between my fascination with the brain and my fascination with marketing? Well, at first I didn’t!!

Turns out that the reason I love marketing so much is because I’m fascinated with the brain and marketers are constantly trying to influence people’s behaviour, and there is no way you can influence someone if you don’t understand how the brain works.
